PTF gets NOC to hire Indian coach

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tennis Federation on Saturday was given a No-Objection-Certificate from the Interior Ministry for hiring Indian tennis coach Beerbul Wadera.
“We have been issued an NOC from the Interior Ministry for hiring an Indian professional coach for training young professional players across Pakistan,” PTF vice-president Irshad Bahtti told Dawn.
He said all the arrangements were made for the visiting coach and players would be informed accordingly.
Regarding PTF summer school, he said around 50 school children were provided with rackets, balls and several other sporting gear by the federation.
Meanwhile, Bhatti said the first CDA Margalla National Ranking Tennis Tournament would begin from April 25.
He said that the tournament would have categories of men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies singles, juniors U-18 singles, boys’ U-14 and senior doubles 45 plus.
Bhatti added that Rs. 200,000 would be offered as prize money in the national ranking tournament.
